Teresa Renee Morris

Teresa Renee Morris, 51, of Grand Island, died Thursday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by her family, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Teresa chose to be cremated. Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Cairo. The Rev. Jeremy Bradshaw will officiate. A luncheon will also follow, at the church.

Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Teresa was born on May 3, 1972, in Grand Island, the daughter of Robert L. and Gilda L. (Peden) Morris. She grew up with her family in Dannebrog and graduated from Centura High School.

After graduating from High School, she attended the Joseph’s College of Beauty. She later worked as a med aide at several local nursing homes.

Teresa enjoyed going to thrift stores and her beloved dogs.

She is survived by her daughters, Makenna Morris of Lincoln and Makayla Morris and Don Hanousek of Wood River; siblings and spouses, Travis and Carrie Morris of Independence, Oregon, Troy and Jessica Morris of Elba and Tina and Brandon Headrick of St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and nephew, Justin Morris.
