Ronald R. “Ron” Kuhn, 84, of Loup City, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at Rose Lane Home in Loup City.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Loup City Community Center in Loup City. The Rev. Douglas DeNeui will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Loup City Community Center.
Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is assisting the family.
Mr. Kuhn was born on Sept. 7, 1933, at Litchfield, the son of Ray R. and Fern I. (Bennett) Kuhn.
Ron grew up on the family farm west of Loup City and attended Lone Elm rural school and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1951.
He was united in marriage to Carol J. Jensen on Feb. 15, 1953, at the First Baptist Church in Loup City. The couple lived in Sherman County and had resided in Loup City for 50 years.
Ron worked as a truck driver for a number of years and drove school bus for Loup City Schools for many years.
He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Loup City, where he was one of the original deacons. He was also a former member of the Loup City Volunteer Fire Department.
Ron had a passion for hunting and fishing and dearly loved family picnics.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol J. Kuhn of Loup City; his children and spouses, Linda S. Kuhn of Loup City, Kathryn A. Carlsen of Loup City, Daniel L. and Miriam Kuhn of Greenwood, Scott A. Kuhn of Ellsworth and James D. and Tracy Kuhn of Grand Island; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Larson of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David R. Kuhn; and twin grandsons, David and Dallas Carlsen.
