Robert T. “Bob” Lieb, 72, of Farwell, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. The Rev. Thomas A. Ryan will officiate.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Bob was born on July 20, 1945, in Abington, Pennsylvania, the son of Harry J. and Mae (Wachowski) Lieb.
He grew up and received his education in Warminster, Pennsylvania. After his schooling he began working for his Uncle Charlie at his Gas Station and Repair Shop. In 1963, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Serockie. He continued to work as a mechanic and auto body technician.
He was united in marriage to Irene M. Madara on July 28, 1973, in Pipersville, Pennsylvania. He and Irene owned B & I Towing and Auto Repair in Sellersville, Pennsylvania.
In the fall of 1976, the couple moved to Farwell, where he owned and operated the City Garage until his retirement in 2013. Irene died on June 29, 2017. For the past year, Bob had resided at Brookefield Park in St. Paul.
He was a member of the Catholic faith.
He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and he and Irene liked traveling to the different racetracks. He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Kevin Lieb and Joni Kusek of St. Paul; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Rewerts of Hastings, Trish and Terry Berggren of Farwell and Carla and Tom Cuba of Pipersville, PA; six grandchildren, Kayla Rewerts and her husband, Nate Rodriquez, Keenan Dawson, Tayden Berggren, Dylan Lieb, Kyle Kinney and Valerie Kinney; and one sister, Rose Brumbaugh of St. Paul.
In addition to his wife, Irene, he was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Thomas Wayne Lieb; three brothers, Harry, Edwin and Richard; and one sister, Dorothy.
