Robert R. “Rob” Goc, 37, of Loup City, died unexpectedly, Monday, May 6, 2013, in his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Marty Egging will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.
Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Goc was born on June 11, 1975, at Loup City, the son of Kenneth and Joyce (Czaplewski) Goc.
He is survived by two sons, Logan Vieth-Goc and Blaine Vieth-Goc, both of Loup City; his companion, Cena Vieth of Loup City; his parents, Kenny and Joyce Goc of Loup City; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Aimee Goc of Shelley, Idaho, Russell and Shelly Goc of Ashton and Robin Goc and Dana Franzen of Loup City; his grandmother, Bernadine Czaplewski of Uehling; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Rob grew up in Loup City where he attended Loup City Public Schools and graduated from Loup City High School in 1993.
He then worked for Central Filling Station and Central Nebraska Community Services, both in Loup City. He later worked for Thiel's Tire and Auto Repair in St. Paul. In May 2010 he started his own business, Central Tire and Service in Loup City, which he operated until the time of his death.
He was a member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City.
Rob enjoyed participating in demolition derbies when he was younger and he truly loved his two sons, Logan and Blaine.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andy and Evangeline Goc and Joseph Czaplewski.
