Marilyn Taylor, 80, of St. Paul, died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Matelyn Retirement Community in St. Paul.
Memorial services will be held in Manhattan, Kansas.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul assisted the family with local arrangements.
Marilyn was born on May 31, 1938, at Junction City, Kansas, the daughter of Harold and Doris (Shull) Taylor.
She lived all her life in Kansas where she worked in civil service at Fort Riley for over 30 years. She also volunteered for meals on wheels and at the local budget shop.
She had moved to Matelyn just last week to be near her son.
She enjoyed birds and flowers.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin Summers and Lana Lukasiewicz of St. Paul, and Brian Summers of Des Moines, IA; two grandchildren, Cole and Michelle Summers of Madrid, IA and Claire and Alex Flaspholer of Story City, IA; one great granddaughter, Reagan Flaspholer of Story City, IA; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Diane Taylor of Manhattan, KS; and one sister, Janice Moyer and Dave Suhling of Manhattan, KS.
She is also survived by Lana's daughter, Angela and Fred and children, Jaylie and Brinley of Hastings; and her beloved dog, Mickey.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
