Lori Marie Greenwalt, 42, of Allen, Texas, died unexpectedly, Friday, May 9, 2014, in Anchorage, Alaska. Graveside memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. The Rev. Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Lori was born on Aug. 10, 1971, in Anchorage, Alaska, the daughter of Loretta Miller and Charlie Murray. Lori attended school in Anchorage and graduated from Diamond High School in 1988. She met her husband, David Greenwalt, of St. Paul, while he was serving in the Army and stationed in Alaska. They were married on Jan. 7, 1994. They just celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary this past January. Lori moved with her family several times and then settled in Allen, Texas. Lori and David have four children, Rocky, Chase, Drake and Greyson, who all live in Allen, Texas. Lori was always full of life and she lived for her children. Lori had an infectious laugh and enjoyed helping people. Lori volunteered at the schools her sons attended, where she taught art classes to elementary students. We thank Lori for giving the world four amazing men. These four men were the highlight of Lori's life. She was a proud mother. Her strength allowed her husband and sons to live a wonderful life with happiness and success. We celebrate Lori's life because she touched so many people, smothering them with love and compassion. She is survived by her husband, David and her children, Rocky, Chase, Drake and Greyson Greenwalt, all of Allen TX; her mother and stepfather, Loretta and George Bourn of Palmer, Alaska; her father and stepmother, Charlie and Pam Murray of Wasilla, Alaska; brother, John Murray of Anchorage, Alaska; two stepbrothers, James Dudley and Joe Hill, both of Vancouver, WA; mother-in-law, Janet Greenwalt of Allen, TX; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Covert, Trisha Greenwalt and Marcie Phillips, all of Allen, TX; brothers-in-law, Chris Greenwalt, Russ Greenwalt, Danny Covert, Joe Peetoom and Scott Phillips, all of Allen, TX. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Chelsey Campbell, Sara Parish, Chayce Peetoom, Josh Peetoom, Alexandria Covert, Savannah Covert, Ganon Greenwalt, Gage Greenwalt, Hayden Greenwalt, Traverse Murray, Jordon Murray, Jesse Phillips and Lexie Phillips. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Alvin Greenwalt. Memorials are suggested to the family, to be designated as an educational fund for her sons.
