Larry Allen Sok

Larry A. Sok, 73, of Sierra Blanca, TX, died Friday, July 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family and friends, at his daughter’s home in Council Bluffs, IA.

Family graveside memorial services will be held 10:30 Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the family in care of his mother, Irene Sok 733 N. 9th Street Loup City NE 68853.

Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is assisting the family.

Larry was born March 29, 1948, at Montebello, CA, the son of Leo and Irene (Lewandowski) Sok and grew up in Loup City.

He worked as a mechanic, welder and truck driver. He most recently was residing in Sierra Blanca, TX.

He was an avid hunter and loved Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is survived by his children, Trevor and Dawn Sok of Newport Richey, FL, Teresa Sok of Council Bluffs and Kendra Nash of Grand Island; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; his mother, Irene Sok of Loup City; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and JoAnn Sok of Grand Island and Wayne and Cindy Sok of Loveville, MD.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Sok.
