Larry H. Johnson, 70, of St. Paul, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Johnson's body was cremated. No services are planned at this time.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul assisted the family.
Mr. Johnson was born on May 25, 1942, in Denver, CO, the son of Henry and Leona (Smith) Johnson.
He grew up in Denver and graduated from Adams City High School in Commerce City, CO, in 1960.
He was united in marriage to Nina Logan on Nov. 19, 1960, at Commerce City. Larry worked for Circle K in Denver as a meat cutter for many years. He then began working as a truck driver in 1981, which he did until 1996, when his health forced him to retire.
In 2004, he moved to Dannevirke, and for the past 2 years of his life he resided at Parkside Plaza in St. Paul.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dog, Baby.
He is survived by one son, Richard Johnson of Fort Lupton, CO; two daughters and one son-in-law, Donna and Shawn Hunt of Glendale, AZ and Tammy Comeau of Palmer; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Pierson of Fort Lupton, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nina; and a daughter-in-law, Koni Johnson.
