June P. Rosenquist

June Phyllis Rosenquist, 96, of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of St. Paul, received her angel wings on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Vince Parsons will celebrate the Mass. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in York.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the American Legion Club in St. Paul.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Legion Post 119 Baseball Program or The Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.

June was born on Aug. 20, 1928, in York, NE, the daughter of Frank and Altha Henning. She graduated with the class of 1946 from York High School.

She was united in marriage to Eugene M. Rosenquist on Nov. 20, 1948, and they welcomed six children while in York, one of whom died in infancy. In 1964, the family moved to St. Paul, where they welcomed two more children, which became her “Seven Good Kids.” Eugene passed away in April of 1977.

After Gene's death, June began working for the City of St. Paul as the Utilities Clerk. She also drove school bus for a few years and served on the School Board.

Following her retirement, she moved to Columbus in 1997 and then relocated to the Valley of the Sun in 2009, where she remained until her death.

She is survived by her children and spouses: David and Carolyn Rosenquist of Grand Island, Jane and Jake Jacobsen of Scottsdale, AZ, Daniel and Janice Rosenquist of Columbus, Douglas and Holly Rosenquist of Katy, TX, Jennifer and John Rickertsen of Hettinger, ND, and Donald and Carolee Rosenquist of Phoenix, AZ; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Eugene, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Gretchen Rosenquist and Judy Rosenquist; infant granddaughter Alison Rosenquist; and brother Richard.
