Judy was born in Muskegon, Michigan on January 15th, 1938. The daughter of Sigrid and John Swart. Her ancestry was Swedish. She grew up in Michigan but also resided in California, Nebraska, Chicago, Indiana and Florida.
She loved her pets…although her kids pleaded with her to get their first dog “Cutie” in 1963. That started the cascade of dogs and cats till leaving her last cat “Phoebe” or “Feebee” as she spelled it, behind at her death. Spelling was not a strength.
She worshiped the sun and loved laying out and soaking up the “rays” most of her life often seen enjoying the beach and relaxing poolside. Judy loved to dance and an occasional “highball” with her neighbors and husband Bob. She loved to freshwater fish, pulling in those crappies for the nights fish fry.
She was somewhat of a perfectionist loving things to be just the right way. From her collection of dolls and jewelry to the way the restaurant cooked her steak or wings. Judy easily laughed and took in stride any jokes or kidding you would throw her way. She was strong in holding her ground and letting it be known what she thought was right and best for the family.
She had an incredible will to live as she suffered so many illnesses and debilitating physical events in the last years of her time on earth. We were all amazed at the strength of her human spirit. An inspiration to all.
Her survivors include “Feebee,” sons Bobby, Billy, John and daughter Deanna. She was also the proud grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 16.
We will miss you mom…you made the best pudding.
