James C. Stout, 94, of St. Paul, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at his home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. The Rev. Ray Kosmicki will officiate.
Prior to services a rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Mr. Stout was born on Feb. 23, 1916, at St. Paul, the son of Thomas and Alice (Mulloy) Stout.
He was united in marriage to Sammie Lee Austin on Dec. 27, 1947, at Eagle Lake, Texas. She preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 1981.
He is survived by ten nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mick and Patty Sok and Cindy Hansen, all of St. Paul.
Jim grew up in St. Paul where he attended St. Paul Schools and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1933.
He served in the United States Air Force during World War II from 1940 to 1945.
He lived in Texas for many years where he worked as a postal worker for the United States Government.
He returned to St. Paul in the mid 1980’s, where he lived the rest of his life.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leonard Stout; and five sisters, Alice Kittridge, Josephine Mercer, Marie O’Hare, Roberta O’Hern and Guinivere Stout.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice.
