Irene M. Lieb, 77, of Farwell, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society-WoodRiver.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Irene was born on Oct. 4, 1939, at Shamokin, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Martin and Irene (Yoder) Madara.
She grew up in Shamokin where she received her education and graduated from Shamokin High School.
She was united in marriage to Robert T. Lieb on July 28, 1973, in Pipersville, Pennsylvania. In the Fall of 1976, the couple moved to Farwell, where Robert owned and operated the City Garage. Irene worked at McCain Foods in Grand Island for many years until her retirement.
She loved being outdoors and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed NASCAR and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Farwell; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane Rewerts of Hastings, Trish and Terry Berggren of Farwell and Carla and Tom Cuba of Pipersville, PA; one son, Kevin Lieb and Joni Kusek of St. Paul; six grandchildren, Kayla Rewerts and her husband, Nate Rodriquez, Keenan Dawson, Tayden Berggren, Dylan Lieb, Kyle Kinney and Valerie Kinney; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Alvina and Dale Ives of Pipersville, PA and Eleanor Seroski of Pottstown, PA; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Carol Madara of Harrisburg, PA and Leon and Kathleen Madara of Shamokin, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 13 siblings.
