Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Frank was born on March 7, 1940, to Francis and Marie (Gorley) Butler in Gordon, NE.

When Frank was a young boy the family moved to California, where he attended school. While still very young, Frank and his siblings lost their mother. His father then raised his three young children.

As a young man, Frank worked for Carpenters Union of Northern California.

In 1996, Frank moved to Lexington, NE, where he was then employed by Orthman Manufacturing. Years later he worked for Service Master of NE.

He married Connie (Jasnoch) Stobbe on Nov. 26, 2003, in Lexington.

Frank was a simple man with a big heart. He would lend a helping hand freely. If there was a lively, joyful conversation going on, you can bet that Frank was in the middle of it.

He took pride in his huge tomato garden and shared the produce with many neighbors and friends. Summer was his favorite season while Frank enjoyed boating, fishing and tending to his big yard and garden.

Even after retirement, he had his own mowing business, and in the Winter, he cleared the snow from walks and driveways in the neighborhood.

Last but certainly not least, if you ever met Frank, you’d know that he was the biggest Denver Broncos fan ever.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of St. Paul; son, Francis Butler of Redding, CA; daughter, Doris Butler of Redding, CA; and daughter-in-law, Trisha Butler, also of Redding, CA; step-daughter, Kim and Sam Fitzgerald of Chester, SC; step-son, Monte Stobbe of Grand Island; brother, Keith and Gail Butler of Cottonwood, CA; sister-in-law, Linda and Ron Kowalewski of Madison, NE; and brothers-in-law, Mike Jasnoch of Lexington and Roger and Susan Jasnoch of Kearney; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Edward Butler; and a sister, Sharon Shaffer.
