She was united in marriage to Howard W. Bolli on Dec. 24, 1937, at Taylor. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1999. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Demaris and Al Schmidt of Arcadia; and one granddaughter and her husband, Shelley and Dennis Heikel of Farwell. Elvira attended Taylor Public Schools and graduated from Taylor High School in 1932. She then attended the Grand Island School of Business. After she and Howard married they ranched near Taylor until 1940, when they moved to a ranch near Arcadia. The couple continued to farm and ranch until 1953, when they moved into Arcadia. They then purchased and operated the Skelly Station for three years. She later cooked at the Vinton School in the Mira Valley for several years while the couple continued to live in Arcadia. After Howard's death she remained in her home until moving to Valley View Living Center in April 2007. She lived there the rest of her life. She was a 62 year member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and was a charter member of the Arcadia Garden Club. Elvira enjoyed sewing, growing flowers and loved to cook. She was a very good cook. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Todd Schmidt; one brother, Charles Johnson; and one sister, Ardith Johnson. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
