Darlene E. Brahatcek, 87, of Ashton, died Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Ravenna.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at the American Legion Hall in Ashton. Rev. Steven Neal will offer some words of comfort at 11:45 a.m.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Darlene was born on April 6, 1933, at St. Paul, the daughter of Adam and Esther C. (Anderson) Ross. Darlene received her education in St. Paul and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1949.
She was united in marriage to Dale F. Brahatcek on Feb. 27, 1951, at St. Paul. Dale was serving in the military, so the couple lived in Alaska. When he was discharged, they returned to St. Paul. They later moved to Lincoln and then to Omaha, where they raised their family.
Darlene was an award-winning general hotel manager while living in Omaha. She later moved to Ashton to be closer to family. She spent the next 20 years taking care of handicapped and special needs adults, before retiring in 2013. She spent the last 5 years living with her son and daughter-in-law.
She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law, Dianne and Reg Lindholm of Tampa, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Liz Brahatcek of Ashton; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer and Ben Bruning, Anna and Jesse James, Raquel Bloom, Connor Brahatcek and Colin Brahatcek; and 8 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kylee, Ethan, Leah, Madalyn, Alexis, Macy and Allison; sister, Ramona Fredrick of Ashton; and sister-in-law, Rose Ross of St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Brahatcek; son, David Brahatcek; siblings and spouses, Mavis and Edward Gagner, Everet and Maggie Ross, Marydell and Wayne Henderson, Willard & Valeria Ross, Dan Ross, James Ross and David Fredrick; and infant brothers, Wilmer, Marvin and Maxon Ross.
