Blanche F. Novak, 89, of Loup City, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at CHI Health Saint Francis in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Marty Egging will be celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Private family inurnment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.
Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is in charge of the arrangements.
Blanche was born on Oct. 8, 1925, in Loup City, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Kantor) Kowalski.
She was united in marriage to Joe Novak on Nov. 26, 1946, at Loup City.
She is survived by a very special niece, Rose Ann Kowalski of Loup City; two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy and Greg Trader of Belton, TX and Diane Novak of Houston, TX.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Derek, Cody and Britney; six great-grandchildren, Diego, Jayde, Jillian, Jia, Cleo and Calvin; sister-in-law, Rose Mary Kowalski of Loup City; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe on March 10, 2011; her parents, Andrew and Mary Kowalski; two sisters, Eleanor McAvin and Clementine Mroczek; and five brothers, Pete, Steve, Leonard, Joe and Harry Kowalski.
Memorials are suggested to the Loup City EMT's or the Loup City Senior Center.
