Alex M. Kulwicki, 86, of St. Paul, died unexpectedly, Friday, June 14, 2019, at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Revs. Rayappa Konka and Ray Kosmicki will concelebrate the Mass. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church with a 7 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.
Alex was born Oct. 3, 1932, at Loup City, the son of Al P. and Mary (Klimek) Kulwicki. He grew up on the family farm 10 miles south of Loup City and attended Wiggle Creek country school.
He was united in marriage to Elaine M. Platek on April 3, 1956, at Loup City. The couple first lived and farmed northeast of Litchfield for one year and then moved to a farm northeast of St. Paul where they lived the rest of their married life. Elaine died on July 23, 2017, and Alex continued to live on the farm.
Alex's life was farming. He also enjoyed tinkering in his shop and driving around on his Ranger.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Knight of Columbus Council 1918 of St. Paul. He also served on the St. Paul Fire Board for 30 + years.
He is survived by his children and spouses, Karen and Kirk Cisler of O'Neill, Ron and Diane Kulwicki of St. Paul, Renee and Tom Dalton of Malcolm and Kathy and Mark Seitzinger of Oak Grove, MN; six grandchildren, Spencer Kulwicki, Hannah Seitzinger, Thomas Dalton III, James Dalton, Gregory Dalton and Amanda Kulwicki; sister and brother-in-law, Isabelle and Gayle Bolich of Yukon, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Louise Kulwicki of Loup City; and brother-in-law, Arnold Platek of Clay Center.
In addition to his wife, Elaine, he was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Eugene Kulwicki.
